The Lawton Canal Storm Water Pumping Station is one tool utilized to control flooding within the Lowcountry. The Lawton Canal pumping station was built and has been operational since 1988. Thomas & Hutton has designed numerous pumping stations. This project consisted of design, permitting and construction monitoring. Typical stations include: generator building, telemetry, electrical gantry, energy dissipaters, mechanical bar screens, fuel containment, marine structures and canal improvements.
