With land growing scarce, especially in Coastal regions, redevelopment and Brownfields (abandoned, idled, or underused industrial and commercial facilities with environmental contamination) have become more and more common over the past decade. Thomas & Hutton has been involved in a majority of the major redevelopments throughout South Carolina and Georgia including the Myrtle Beach Air Force Base, Liberty Harbor and Durango Mill.

In order for a developer or community to actively remedy a Brownfield site or to even consider redevelopment of a mix-use site, it must first learn as much as possible about a site. We have experience in redevelopment planning and understand the necessary process concerning existing facilities and land areas in order to have successful project completion.
