Daniel Island is a 3000-acre Traditional Neighborhood Development located in the City of Charleston, SC. Daniel Island’s master plan incorporates a mixture of housing types, combining large and small single-family lots, townhomes, and apartments to create neighborhoods, rather than subdivisions. The development includes a Town Center designed and positioned to be the economic, social, and cultural hub of the community. Further, the layout creates a varied public network of parks and community facilities available to the population as a whole.

Thomas & Hutton has been involved with the development of Daniel Island since 1990. The firm helped to create the original Master Plan and development agreement, providing civil support to the development team. From the start, the firm has performed all of the civil design, permitting, and construction monitoring for Daniel Island Company.
