East Square Bridge

The East Square Bridge is a concrete pile supported concrete bridge spanning across previously filled Slip 2 area to access main entrance into the Georgia International Maritime and Trade Center. The beginning of the bridge connected to DOT roadway work with 2 lanes, 30-feet wide, and tapered to 2 lanes, 40-feet wide at connection to elevated deck structure. The structure consists of concrete pile foundations with concrete pile caps and pre-stressed Type III AASHTO girders to support HS20-44 live loads.
