Traffic studies are performed to develop comprehensive plans for community roadways and intersections. These studies look at future land uses and potential development opportunities to predict future traffic volumes and patterns. Using forecasted volumes, studies can identify future congestion points and ways to mitigate them into already existing traffic patterns.
Thomas & Hutton has performed extensive analysis of existing roadway networks, planned development patterns, forecasted future traffic volumes, trip generation, identified current and future deficiencies, recommended roadway and intersection improvements, performed signal warrant analysis, corridor level service, accident evaluation reports, signal timing, design, and obtained approvals for both municipal and private developers. We have provided studies for small sites that include single driveways to 70,000 acre land parcels.
